Account Settings

Your account settings let you manage your personal information, update your password, control your preferences, and customize how Quilt Logger looks and behaves for you.

To open your settings, click your avatar in the top menu and choose Settings.

Your account details are split across two places:

  • Profile → Overview holds your basic info (name, phone number, profile photo), your address, and your company details.
  • Profile → Settings holds Authentication, Advanced Settings (Preferences, Notifications, Appearance), and Deactivate Account.

Basic Info#

Found on Profile → Overview. Update your personal information — your name and phone number appear on invoices and in customer communications.

  • First Name and Last Name — As it appears on invoices and emails
  • Phone Number — Enter in US format: (555) 123-4567
  • Profile Photo — Upload a profile picture (optional)

Note: Your name appears on customer-facing invoices, so make sure it's spelled the way you want customers to see it.

Address#

Found on Profile → Overview. Your address is used on invoices and business communications. Update your street address, city, state, zip code, and country (defaults to USA).

Tip: In your company details, you can turn on "Use Personal Address" to automatically copy your address onto all invoices — so you only have to enter it once.


Company Details#

Found on Profile → Overview. Company details control how your invoices look and what information appears on them. This is one of the most important sections to fill out before sending invoices to customers.

Key things you can configure here#

  • Company name, email, phone, and website
  • Business logo (shows on your invoices)
  • Brand colors (customizes invoice appearance)
  • Tax settings (tax rate, whether to show your tax ID)
  • Payment terms (how many days customers have to pay)
  • Accepted payment methods (cash, check, Venmo, etc.)
  • Invoice numbering (prefix like "INV-" and starting number)
  • Default invoice notes and footer text

Advanced Settings#

Advanced settings let you customize how the app looks and behaves.

Appearance (Light or Dark Mode)#

  1. Go to Profile → Settings → Advanced Settings → Appearance
  2. Choose from:
    • Light Mode — Bright white background (traditional look)
    • Dark Mode — Dark background (easier on the eyes in low light)
    • System — Automatically matches your computer's current setting
  3. Click Save Changes

Your theme choice is saved to your account, so it applies on every device you use to log in.

Language#

  1. Go to Profile → Settings → Advanced Settings → Preferences
  2. Select your preferred language from the dropdown
  3. Click Save Changes

The interface will update immediately to your chosen language.

Timezone#

Setting the correct timezone ensures that dates and times in the app match your local time — important for scheduled quilts, activity logs, and invoice due dates.

  1. Go to Profile → Settings → Advanced Settings → Preferences
  2. Select your timezone from the dropdown
  3. Click Save Changes

Authentication#

This section is for updating your login credentials.

Changing Your Password#

  1. Go to Profile → Settings → Authentication
  2. Enter your current password
  3. Enter your new password (must meet the requirements below)
  4. Confirm your new password
  5. Click Save Changes

Password requirements:

  • At least 8 characters long
  • At least one uppercase letter
  • At least one lowercase letter
  • At least one number
  • At least one special character

Changing Your Email Address#

Your email address is what you use to log in. Changing it takes effect immediately when you save — there's no verification link to click, and your old address stops working right away.

  1. Go to Profile → Settings → Authentication
  2. Enter your new email address
  3. Click Save

Important: Double-check the spelling before you save. Because the change is immediate and there's no confirmation step, an address with a typo will lock you out of logging in.


Notification Preferences#

Notification preferences control which automated emails and messages are sent when quilts are updated or inventory needs attention.

Note: Automated customer and inventory notifications require a Basic or Pro plan. On the Free plan, you'll need to contact customers and monitor stock manually.

Available Notifications#

How to Manage Notifications#

  1. Go to Profile → Settings → Advanced Settings → Notifications
  2. Toggle each notification type on or off
  3. Click Save Changes

For inventory alerts, also go to Profile → Threads & Batting to set each item's Low at reorder point and turn on low-stock alerts. See Threads & Batting Inventory for the full inventory workflow.


Saving Changes#

Every section in Settings has its own Save Changes button. Changes are not applied until you click Save. If you navigate away without saving, your changes will be lost.

Look for the orange dot indicators on settings sections — these point out sections that aren't fully filled in yet, which may affect features like invoice generation.
