Dashboard Overview
The Dashboard is the first page you see when you log in. It pairs a short, actionable work queue — your pending quilts — with the full set of business-analytics metrics, so you get both "what do I need to work on" and "how is the business doing" in one view.
Everything is live: as you add customers, quilts, and invoices, each section fills in with real data from your account.
Pending Quilts#
At the top of the dashboard is the Pending Quilts table — the quilts currently in your queue (statuses Received and In Progress), showing up to five at a time. It appears only when you have active quilts. Click any row to open that quilt's details and update it.
This is the part of the dashboard meant for daily action: a short list of what's waiting or in progress.
Business metrics#
Below the pending list, the dashboard shows your business-analytics metrics. These are the same metrics documented on the Business Analytics page — they render here on the dashboard rather than on a separate screen. The sections, in order:
- Customer Insights — four cards: Total Customers, New Customers (this month, with a year-to-date figure), Repeat Customers (a percentage), and Avg Lifetime Value.
- Quilts by Location and Machine Utilization — two donut charts, each with a time-range filter: All Time, This Year, This Month, This Week.
- Top Patterns, Top Threads, and Top Services — your most-used items.
- Operational cards — Avg Turnaround (intake to completion), Completed This Year, Invoice Value (this month and YTD), and Outstanding Invoices (unpaid amount and count).
- Top Customers by Spend and Revenue by Rate Type — ranked bar lists; each shows a total-revenue summary across the items it lists.
- Yearly Activity — a calendar heatmap of how many quilts you worked on each day over the year.
Tip: On desktop, the chart cards (the two donuts and the two bar lists) start collapsed — click the eye icon on a card to expand it.
For what each metric means and how it's calculated, see Business Analytics.
On mobile#
The mobile dashboard shows the same data in a layout tuned for a small screen: the Yearly Activity heatmap moves to the top, followed by a grid of key numbers (Invoice value, Outstanding, Avg turnaround, Customers), then Top customers and Revenue by rate, a Where and how section with the Locations and Machines donuts, and a Highlights section with your top patterns, threads, and services.
Empty dashboard?#
If your dashboard looks empty, it just means you haven't added any data yet. To get started:
Once you've added some records, the dashboard fills in with real data.
Tips for using the dashboard#
- Check Pending Quilts daily — a quick morning look shows what's in progress and what's waiting to start.
- Keep quilt statuses current — the metrics are only as accurate as the data behind them.
- Watch your plan limits — on the Free or Basic plan, you'll be reminded as you approach your quilt or customer limits.
- Use the time-range filters — narrow the Location and Machine donuts to the week, month, year, or all time to spot trends.
